You can edit transaction descriptions, categories, and notes, and add your own columns and formulas. Sync preserves these inputs, including blank values. When your bank links a posted transaction to its pending entry, the existing row and your edits stay together. Bank removals mark the row as removed and retain your work.
Keep managed formulas and identity fields intact. Avoid sorting, moving, inserting, or deleting rows and columns while a sync is running. Montley checks row identities before writing, but a structural edit immediately after that check can still interfere with the update. Use a filter view for a different view of your data, and run Sheet Doctor after structural changes. Doctor checks supported workbook rules; it does not certify that every historical transaction is present.
